12:46 pm - FOs and WIPs
I finally finished a couple of things. I finished Knitty's Coronet hat, in Caron Simply Soft for easy care, and the November 1st KAL Turkey dishcloth from the MonthlyDishcloths group in Peaches and Cream, Ecru on size 7 straights.

I've finished one of Knitty's Broadripple socks and the second is about 2/3 finished. I'm using Cascade Fixation in light blue on 2 circs, size 3 KnitPicks. I LOVE these needles. I plan to order sizes 2 and 1 as well. Maybe 0s too. I'd love the Options set. *sigh* Maybe one of these days.

I can't get too involved in my knitting when the grand-kids are here, or they'll rearrange all my stuff for me. Toddlers don't always put things where a grandma would think of looking for them! Do you suppose their mother keeps her measuring spoons under her bed, or her black pumps in the pots & pans cupboard? I kinda doubt it! I'm pretty sure they think these things up all on their own!

Anyway, when I finish my Broadripples, the 4-year-old wants me to make her a pair of socks, so I'm looking for a good pattern for kid's socks that will fit a size 8 1/2 (US) shoe.

I've been babysitting my two cute little grand-kids, Holly, 3, and Liam, 2. As you can imagine I don't get much knitting done while watching them! If I get engrossed in something they could tear the house down! LOL! Last night after they went to sleep I made a quick little baby washcloth, but my cabled afghan will probably take FOREVER, or longer, to finish.

5:50 pm - Knitting socks
I've been knitting socks lately. I'm going to try some of the "toe up" socks I have patterns for. I've tried the toe up pattern where you cast on the toe stitches, alternating on 2 needles. It worked out pretty well. Now I want to try the one where you use some waste yarn to make a chain and start from there. I'm not sure how to do that. I have to try it before I'll understand. AT least I hope I'll understand. We'll see what happens!
